Shipping Equipment

We have shipped several containers of medical equipment to Nicaragua over the years as well large pieces separately such a C arm. We are currently waiting to have enough funds to send an operating room table that weighs a thousand pounds

The largest shipment we sent was when we filled three C 131 cargo planes with equipment collected from hospitals in Mane in ’92 in coordination with the Defense department .We have also sent several 40 ft. containers which recently has become very difficult because the dock in Puerto Cabezas can no longer accommodate large cargo ships. We now have to send containers to Managua and then by truck to Puerto Cabezas. This entails sending the container across Honduras after it lands in Corinto on the Atlantic coast of Honduras. There are many unexpected delays because the extensive paper work needed to release the shipment from the port of entry and move across borders.
